Best Halloween Books

I’ve spent a lot of time over the last few weeks posting about my favorite Halloween movies. Now, I want to tell you about my favorite Halloween books! Horror novels are actually a guilty pleasure of mine when I want to take a break from spy novels and historical non-fiction, so be sure to check out the books below!

  1. Kill Creek by Scott Thomas

A group of horror novelists spending the night in a haunted house might sound cliche but what if the haunted force follows them out of the house and they are forced to come back?

2. Demonologist by Gerald Brittle

After seeing all of the movies in The Conjuring universe, how can I not pick and love a book about the haunted adventures of Ed & Lorraine Warren?

3. Behind the Horror by Dr. Lee Meller

This is actually a non-fiction book, but it provides insight and the true stories behind some the biggest horror movies ever made. Truth is often stranger than fiction, and it’s usually much creepier!

4. Suicide Forest by Jeremy Bates

Bates has written a couple of books about the scariest places in the world, and he decided to take it a step further and write fiction novels set in some of those locations. This particular novel is set in the well-known Suicide Forests of Japan outside of Tokyo.

5. The Invited by Jennifer McMahon

It’s one thing to unknowingly move into a haunted house, but this book is about a couple who builds one! Tall my advice folks, this book is original!
